Porto Cervo

Porto Cervo

Welcome to the heart of Porto Cervo, the undisputed pearl of the Costa Smeralda, overlooking the northeastern coast of beautiful Sardinia. Founded in the 1960s by Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, Porto Cervo has undergone an extraordinary transformation, evolving from a modest fishing village to a renowned luxury destination with a worldwide fame.

Together with French set designer Jacques Couelle, later joined by Italian architects, the founder has shaped an authentic paradise for elite international tourism.
The 1980s began with the construction of the modern marina, now one of the largest and best-equipped in the Mediterranean, with 700 berths and the prestigious Blue Flag award for marinas, conferred by the Fee (Foundation for Environmental Education) for water quality, services and sustainability.

Porto Cervo today

Porto Cervo, with its crystal-clear sea, unbridled luxury and vibrant nightlife, is the favourite retreat of the international elite. In the heart of the town, the famous Piazzetta and the Stella Maris Church dominate the scene, surrounded by charming streets dotted with high-fashion boutiques, exclusive jewellers and first-class restaurants.

The architecture is typical, in pastel shades that recall the typical Gallura style, blending harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. The village extends around a natural gulf that reminds one of the silhouette of a deer, while luxury hotels and sumptuous villas rise elegantly just outside the centre.

The harbour hosts the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, a prestigious club organising international sailing competitions. Walking along the quays, it is possible to admire the boats of wealthy personalities, testimony to the exclusive atmosphere that characterises the Gallurese location.

For golf lovers, the Pevero Golf Club is an absolute must.
At night, it is animated with exclusive clubs such as the Ritual discotheque, set in the rocks, and the famous Bilionaire.

Just a few steps from Porto Cervo are some of the Emerald Coast’s most fascinating beaches, including Liscia Ruia, Cala Granu, Pevero beach, Cala di Volpe, Cala del Faro, Romazzino beach and Principe beach, along with numerous hidden bays and the enchanting Maddalena Archipelago.

To reach the Costa Smeralda, land at Olbia airport, some 30 kilometres away, or land at the port of Olbia, accessible by ferries from Genoa and Civitavecchia. Discover the timeless enchantment of Porto Cervo, where luxury and beauty come together in a unique experience.

The undisputed capital of the Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo is a coastal hamlet of the Gallurese town of Arzachena, with a few hundred residents. In summer, it becomes an extraordinary and glittering parade of yachts, yachts and celebrities, a place where shopping becomes a stylish experience with film and television stars.

Despite the Master Plan projects, which were supposed to further transform the Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo continued on its way to increasing international renown. The construction of the marina in the 1980s, with its 700 berths and modern facilities, positioned Porto Cervo as a first-class facility in the Mediterranean basin.

Porto Cervo continues to be a reference destination for the international tourist market, while keeping its unique charm intact.
